Mission & Vision
Coleman University's mission is to prepare students for meaningful careers in the computer and business professions. Coleman has successfully fulfilled this mission since 1963 by staying faithful to some basic educational philosophies, including:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in a fast-paced learning environment
  • Balancing emerging technologies with fundamental concepts
  • Teaching students how to learn technical and business concepts quickly
  • Keeping class sizes small
  • Teaching skills that employers are seeking in industry

Coleman University's Unique Educational Approach

Coleman's inverted curriculum delivers your career training first. This innovative approach allows you to become qualified for a related position in a matter of months.  It is recommended that work-study interns start their internship job in an entry level position, thus gaining work experience, English ability and skills.

For Graduate students, you can begin their your work-study internship in the first month of study.

For undergraduates in the work-study program, once you earn a certificate, you can start your job internship.  It takes between 8 months to 13 months (depending on transfer credits or if you take the accelerated track) to earn your certification.  Job placement for Coleman certificate holders is 95%.  Once you are working in your internship employment,  you will work during the day and study in the evening to complete the general education and advanced technology requirements for your bachelor's degree.
