IHE Program Overview

The Institute for Healthcare Excellence's (IHE) course of study integrates three important components. These include enrollment in an outstanding academic graduate program in healthcare administration; becoming a U.S. nurse within the first 12 months; and a dynamic work-study program.   Whether a student decides to attend Sullivan University, IHE concurrently prepares you to become licensed to practice as registered nurses in the United States within the first year.

“Earn-While-You-Learn” – Work Study Program

The program is designed to allow international nurses to earn US wages while completing their education.

The program enables you to work in healthcare or other employment in your first semester of study in the United States while you study for your master’s program in healthcare administration. Within the first year, you will become U.S. licensed nurses working in U.S. healthcare institutions such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, and medical practices – earning high salaries.

Academic Program:

The IHE  master portion of the program is taken in collaboration with  Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky, USA..

Sullivan University:  The Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare administration is a 56-credit program taught over 14, four-credit courses.  The course of study is designed for students to take two courses each three-month term equaling eight courses per year. The program can be completed in just under two years.  All classes are conveniently offered on Saturdays and evenings, allowing students to work full-time in health or other fields and “earn while they learn.”

U.S. Nursing Licensure Preparation Program

IHE has developed a program where you become licensed to work as a U.S. registered nurses within the first year.  The program begins with nurse application assessment and concludes with the passing of the NCLEX-RN.  The NCLEX-RN is the national required exam required for registered nurses in the U.S. The IHE training program is time-tested and delivered in collaboration with a leading U.S. nurse-training provider. Throughout the licensure preparation program, students are enrolled and taking classes in the graduate healthcare program.

The nursing licensure preparation program is comprised of three major parts.

  • Part one includes applying for nursing licensure to the state board of nursing including academic nursing credential review and demonstration of English-language competency.

  • Part two includes seminars in understanding the U.S. Healthcare system and the particulars of the U.S. nursing practice.

  • Part three includes in-depth training to take the NCLEX-RN. Preparation includes in-class sessions, content videos, live training worships, and readiness assessment. The training is intensive requiring a substantial commitment
